Introduction

Task

At the end of this webquest you will prepare a presentation with your group about the topic that you have: River Nile, Everyday life, Mummies and Pyramids, Egyptian Society or Religion. 

You have to organize your presentation carefully. You need to talk about your topic, explaining the main concepts and interacting with the pieces of art you created in the Art lessons. You can also include some pictures, cardboard and games for your parents at the end of the presentation.

Now you are ready to look at the process section where you will find the organization of our classes.

But.... before you may want to look at how you will be evaluated and what criteria will be considered before giving you and your group the final mark. Let's go!!!

 

Process

Here is how we will get organized to start preparing the presentations. Check these dates so that you don't fall behind. Ready.....steady.....go!!!

 

Class 1 / September 27th 

- Get in groups. 

- Start exploring your binder to look for the material you need to talk about. 

- Prepare a list of concepts you will explain. Check the definitions in the binder. 

-Present the list of concepts to the teachers. Every member of the group must have the list in their binders. 

 

Class 2/ September 28th 

 

- Check the extra material the teachers give you. 

- Start preparing your presentation with your own words. You can create a word document..

- Divide the presentation so that everyone says something. 

-Present the word document to the teachers. 

 

Class 3 / October 4th

 

- Finish with the document of your presentation

- Think of the models you created in the Art lessons to be integrated with what you say.

-Think of the materials you will need 

- Present to the teachers what you will create as visual aid and the things you will need to prepare the materials.

 

Class 4/ October 11th. 

- Start preparing the materials you will include in your presentation.

-Think of a newspaper article or a funny poster to include in the presentation (we will help you!!)

- Present the visual aids to the teachers. 

 

Class 5/ October 18th

- Check you have the materials ready

-Check that your presentation is organized

-Think of an activity or game for your parents

-Present the game or activity to the teachers. Present the organization of the presentation --> What you will say, who will say what, the interaction with the models and the activity for parents. 

 

Class 6/ October 19th 

- Start practising your presentation

- We will start listening to you. We will tell you if you need to study more or which things we would change. 

- While we listen to other groups, make sure you have everything ready. You have time to finish with your materials, to practise your part and to practise with all the group. Use this time!

 

Class 7/ October 24th 

-We will listen to the groups and tell them what to improve .

 

Class 8/ October 25th 

- We will listen to the groups and tell them what they need to improve. 

 

Class 9/ October 30th 

- Rehearsal of the presentations

 

  • October 31st: Showcase 4th TAV

  • November 1st: Showcase 4th SHIN

 

 

 

Evaluation

Here are the things that the teacher will consider before giving you the final mark. Look at them before you start working on your presentation!
