The Big Three of Educational Psychology

Introduction

Welcome to your first WebQuest! This is the last assignment you have to complete before our end of unit test, so be sure you give it your best! You will be working with your group to complete this assignment. This assignment will combine what you already know with new information to create a project that encompasses everything you have learned. As always, if you have any questions along the way let me know and have fun!

Task

For this assignment, you and your group will watch three videos on different educational psychology theories (cognitive psychology, behaviorism, and social cognitive theory). You all will then combine what you have learned from the videos with your previous knowledge (notes you took prior). Once you have watched the videos and discussed, your group will be given a large piece of poster paper. On the poster paper you will create a three circle venn diagram and put all your information there. Once all groups are finished, you all will present your poster to the class so that we can all review.

When creating your Venn diagram, be sure to include information such as a brief description of the theory, key theorists involved, pros and cons, classroom application, or other things we have discussed (you do not have to do all of these, just make sure you have enough information). Again, if you have any questions, please come ask me!

Conclusion

Now that you have completed the WebQuest, you may begin working on your poster. Once you finish your poster we will present them to the class as a review. After our review we will be finished with this unit, so be sure to give your poster your best! Be sure to include all necessary information and be creative; we want these posters to be fun!
