Introduction
Students will gather on the carpet in a circle for the topic to be introduced.
"We are going on a sound adventure today, and you will become sound detectives!"

Task
Explain task: "Ok detectives, we have to find the sounds to match the picture!"
-What sound do you hear at the beginning of 'bat'?
-What sound do you hear in the middle of 'bat'?
-What sound do you hear at the end of 'bat'?

Use an interactive work mat to have students select which letters to change to make a new word to sound out.
Ask them to say each sound in the word.
After completing several rounds of changing words, play Jack Hartman video on sounding out words for review
