Introduction

Welcome, young mathematicians! Have you ever wondered about the many-sided shapes all around the universe? In this WebQuest, You will go on a fun adventure to learn about polygons with five or more sides. You will also learn their names, discover their characteristics, and even guess what are the properties of polygons you have touched. As a short notice, please fasten your seatbelt and get ready to become a polygon pro as our aircraft take off! 

 

 

Task
  • The first task is to watch the animated YouTube video about names and characteristics of polygons.
  • Then, you should also view the picture of polygons and be familiar to it.
  • The last task is to play a game entitled "Tactile Polygon Quest".
Process

  • The teacher will facilitate the game "Tactile Polygon Quest" wherein, you will wear a blindfold and guess the solid polygon blocks provided by the teacher that usually signifying the things on your surrounding.
Evaluation

Your work will be assessed based on the game "Tactile Polygon Quest".

Here is the criteria below: (50 points)

  1. Identification: Correctly naming polygon--------------------------------------------- 15 points
  2. Description: Accurately describing properties--------------------------------------- 25 points
  3. Time Efficiency: Guess the polygon shape within a set time limit.------------- 10 points
