Art teaching mixes colors

Introduction

As an Art professor, I am willing to teach my students the importance of learning the three primary colors, which are red, blue, and yellow. Another important thing as a teacher is to go over the rules and steps before starting the class. Rule number one is important so that every student understands that as soon as they enter my classroom, to should have all their art supplies ready and prepared with them. That includes the paints, paint brushes, a cup of water, a sponge, and the main important equipment, put on their smock. After that am ready to begin teaching my class.

Task

As an art professor, I am going to assign my students to work in groups. Each group is assigned to mix the three primary colors, one at a time, into a variety of colors. After the students have finished mixing and making a variety of colors, they are going to have to write all the work they have done in the PowerPoint. Then, each group is going to have a presentation in front of the class where they evaluate the result of mixing primary colors.

Process

Before beginning the activity, I will show the class a brief educational video on primary colors. Next, I would ask the class questions such as "Have u ever mixed paint before?" and then I will show the three primary colors by using paint, brushes, and some paper. After demonstrating those visuals, the students are ready to begin their task. Student will get in their group and begin mixing the three primary colors in the following order: red and yellow, red and blue, and blue and yellow. After they are finished mixing the colors, they are going to begin creating their PowerPoint presentation based on the results of the colors they just mixed. Once all that is done, each group will present their project in front of the class.

Evaluation

As a teacher, I would evaluate each group by checking all their work progress, including hard work, improvement, and all their great effort.  By the end of the activity, children should be able to accurately identify and name the three primary colors (red, yellow, blue). They should also be able to recognize these colors in everyday use. I will evaluate their result by checking if they combined the right colors to create secondary colors.

Conclusion

It is important as a teacher to check in with my students to see if they have learn so far, including the three primary colors and know the important rule when entering the class. Students must have all their equipment ready. When students are assigned to work in groups, they should know by mind what to do after they have finished mixing the primary colors. Students must create a PowerPoint presentation showing their effort, improvement, and hard work they have learn and move on to create secondary colors.
