State Presentations

Introduction

Students! Its time to pack your bags and hit the road. Today you are going to be traveling to two new states in the United States. You are going to explore the states to find all the cool details to share with your me, your family, and your fellow classmates. 

Task

Students, you are going to create a google presentation in regards to two states of your choice, excluding Tennessee and Kentucky. Before beginning your presentation you must complete a K-W-L chart on google slides and share with me. 

 

Process

First you will complete a K-W-L chart in google slides and share with me *please select make a copy before filling out*

You must include five bullet points per category.

Second you can jump into your research researching these key questions:

  • location of state
  • state capital
  • state flag
  • state population
  • 3 fun facts

Third you will create a 10 slide, 5 slides per state, google slide presentation sharing the information you found

Finally proof read your slides. Be sure that your slides have no grammatical or spelling errors, only include applicable information, and that all components of the rubric have been reached. 

When you are done

  • share your google slide state presentation with me so I know you are done
  • fill out the L of your K-W-L chart and double check it has been shared with me
