Time Travel: Back Into the1960's/Outsiders

Introduction

                                                                                         The 1960s:  A WebQuest

Imagine being back in the 1960's where the cars were “tuff” and the “fuzz” were your friends. Drive-ins were the place to be on the weekend and the local eating joint had the best cherry soda. You will learn slang that students and adults used, the music they listened to, the movie stars that were popular, the types of cars they drove and the prices for everyday items we still use today. It is an adventure that is "bitchin" with every click. So have a "boss" of a time on your quest. Let's get started and go on a little web-quest back 60 years to a time when life seems to be more simple and the world less complicated. Buckle up and hang on to your hat, because this experience is going to be "far out"! Oh, don't forget to invite a friend to come along for the ride.

Task

Benjamin Franklin: in Search of a Better World

For this web-quest task you are going to be taking a step back into the past and begin searching for 1960's related material that will help you understand what life was like in that time era. Your task is to understand and gain knowledge about a time in history that is very different from today's world so you can connect with the characters in The Outsiders. You will be using the links provided for you in the WebQuest as well as doing some searching on your own.

After you have completed all the task you will begin to create a Google Slideshow or use Canva to create an informative presentation that includes the information you have learned and acquired from your time travel adventure.
