Purpose:
The “All About Dr. Seuss WebQuest” is intended to support student learning in a variety of ways. First, the WebQuest encourages students to get inspired by the creative works of others and create something of their own, no matter how “silly” it is. A second purpose for this WebQuest is to educate students on the lives and works of famous authors. Finally, the WebQuest encourages students to be active producers rather than passive receivers, which is an important skill to have in life.
Rationale:
Building an understanding of how to examine the life of one of the most loved children’s authors. This also encouraging students to be creative and imaginative and making their ideas come to life on paper.

Task: On this page, there will be an outline of what is expected of the students as they go through the WebQuest.
Process: This page consists of the steps that the students will take to successfully complete the WebQuest along with the resources that they will be using.
Evaluation: This is the rubric that will be used to grade the students’ work.
Conclusion: This page consists of closing remarks for the students along with an additional question for them to think about.
Assessment:
The product of this WebQuest for students includes a handwritten list of facts about Dr. Seuss and a list of books, a drawing of their own with a handwritten description, and an opinion statement on their favorite Dr. Seuss character. Students will be assessed on how much of the assignment they have complete.
