Introduction
We all know the story of how a miracle happened for the Jews after they got the Beit Hamikdash back from the Greeks. But we don't usually stop to think about it.
We celebrate 8 days of Chanuka, so the miracle had to last 8 days. (this means that even on the first day, which seems not to be a miracle because we had one day's worth of oil, had to be miraculous.)
Also, Every day's lighting had to be according to Halacha. (An example of a Halacha is that the candle must be full of oil, so dividing the oil into 8 is not an option.)
What was actually the miracle?
Task
Your task together is to understand why the miracle is so hard to understand, and to figure out what the miracle was exactly.
You are required to present this in a comic strip, using StoryBoard to draw it up, and OneMotion to add any pictures that are not an option on Storyboard.
Do this by delegating the following tasks fairly:
_2.jpg)
Researcher:
You must learn the Rebbe's Sicha, with the help of Tzvi Freeman's Menorah Files, and find all of the issues that make it difficult to see what the miracle of the lights was exaclty, and learn the answer that the Rebbe gives to the questions.
To do this, you will need to read the Halachot of lighting, so that you can understand the miracle.
Editor:
Your job is to make sure that the researcher finds the right answer, and that the creator is portraying it correctly. You are also to take the information from the researcher and divide it into scenes that will each make up one window of the comic strip.
Creator:
You are to set up the StoryBoard into scenes that depict the questions and answer that the creator found, according to the outlay of the editor. Do this creatively and clearly.
Artist:
You must work with the creator to see which images she is missing (i.e a menorah) and draw them for her online, so you could insert them in it the comic strip.
Process
You will embark on this exciting quest together, and help each other with your respective task! Each girl will be in charge of what she was assigned to do, but you will all help each other and do a bit of every task!
For example, the researcher will be responsible for obtaining all the information. But everyone else will pitch in and help with the research! :)

The first thing to do is to divide the roles between yourself. Try to give everyone the role they are comfortable with, but remember that everyone does everything!
The next step is to begin researching. The researcher should give everyone something to study, and once the basic information is covered, everyone must share what they learnt.
At this point, everyone is helping the editor make sure that the information makes sense and is accurate. You may have to have two girls go over the same information.
while the researcher continues to learn, the creator can begin to create a skeleton of the comic strip, and start to fill it in. Once she has started on the details, she can have the artist start to draw what needs to be added.
You can create something bright and wonderful!

Teacher Page
This Webquest is designed for Jewish Lubavitch students of year 7, 8 or 9.
It should take at least 3 weeks, and class time should be given, as it is a group effort and the teacher may need to be present to help the students.
The teacher may help with any part of the process, because the students can benefit from the guidance more. However, a balance with independence should be maintained.
The students will need internet and a likutei sichot, 15.
Happy teaching!
