Famous Missourians WebQuest

Introduction

This is a social studies project for the students to learn more about historic Missourians by creating an exhibit for History Museum.

Task

Your completed presentations will consist of researched information about the historic Missourian of your choice.  You will use the planning worksheet to gather information that will be used to develop your presentation piece.  Each of the research questions must be answered in it’s entirely to give a complete understanding of the historic Missourian.  After the presentation, each student will have an opportunity to answer questions pertaining to the historic Missourian they chose.

Process

You have been chosen to review famous Missourians, you will access the Historical Missourians web page and review the five suggested famous Missourians.

Conclusion

Now that you all have browsed the web quest, researched famous Missourians and completed the famous Missourian work sheet, give a two minute presentation about what you learned about the famous Missourians, who was your favorite, least favorite and why they are your favorite and least favorite.  Once the presentation are completed, you are allowed to take a souvenir associated your favorite famous Missourian.  We’ve enjoyed your visit and please join us again.
