The Magic School Bus

Introduction

Welcome aboard the Magic School Bus, today our adventure will be exploring the 8 wonders of the Solar System, thats right planets! Today we are going to take you on a scavenger hunt to each planet, where you will learn about each planet while finding new treasures. You will be placed in four groups, and each group will be asked to observe two planets. Now are you ready for today's mission?Lets count down 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1 BLAST OFF!

Task

As astronauts it is now time to test what you know about the wonders of outter space. In order to do so you will be handed a K.W.L chart to test what you know, what you want to know, and at the end what you have learned from your missions!

Process

In this part of your mission, you will be landing on different planets, investigating and collecting clues. Have fun and enjoy your exciting adventure into the solar system!

Step 1:

Put on spacesuites, sit in assigned groups, buckle up, and await take off to outer space!

Step 2:

As you are traveling observe your surroundings. On your ipads write down different things that you see, or even things that you find interesting.

Step 3:

Share notes and interesting observations with spacemates within your group to compare and contrast different facts you've observed.

Once you've completed these steps, you will officially become astronauts! Now it's time to begin the scavenger hunt. Good Luck!

Evaluation

Great job on your adventure crew members! Now you will need to complete the evaluation sheet that your crew captain has handed out to you. Here you will evaluate the mission, and complete your checklist.

Next, is the fun part. After observing outer space and the wonderful planets you will now pick your favorite planet that you saw today. After doing so, I will provide you with the materials needed for you to create your very own planet!
