Fairy tales

Introduction

This lesson is dedicated to present students different types of fairy tales to widen their outlook and improve their integrated skills on the basis of vocabulary aspect. The lesson plan is devoted to A2, B2 level that lasts for 45 minutes.

Task

The provided lesson involves the following tasks: -to introduce pupils topic and explain it in native language Educational aim: -to widen pupils’ outlook on the importance of the topic and improve their vocabulary skill with the help of entertaining activities -develop students' integrated skills on the basis of vocabulary knowledge; -to improve students' collaborative approach Educative aim: -to make act based on the topic and develop their language skills; - to help to enchance students' self-esteem

Process

The provided lesson plan consists of three main stages, involving main body part. Pre-stage. Introduction: At this stage teacher begins lesson with introducing the topic with the help of warm-up activity. Students should be asked several questions about fairy tales, and teacher has them speak about their favorite ones. While-stage. At this stage students do 2 entertaning activities. According to the first activitiy students are given several pictures of heros and heroines of fairy tales around the world with the list of adjectives belong to them. Students should identify each photo and devide them in accordance with the adjectives. it involves 15 minutes of main body of the lesson. At the second activity students are required to act as a heros and heroines of the fairy tales created by their selves. This activity assists students to improve their critical thinking, outlook, cooperative ability as well. For presenting this activity teacher should subdevide students into small groups. this activity lasts 20 minutes. Post-stage: At this stage teachers conclude the lesson with last activity. According to this activity students should gather all vocabularies which are encountered during the lesson process. After that they are required to make a sentence consisted of those new words. This activity lasts only 3 minutes. At the assesment part teacher evaluate each student in accordance with their taking part in the activities. Students are asked to write 100 word reflection paper on the tales considered to be favorite ones for them.

Evaluation

The ptovided lesson plan can be find very utilitarian for foreign language teachers' to encourege their students to the topic. At the end of the lesson learners can be expected to: -be able to understand importance of fairy tales -be able to improve their speaking and listening skills -be able to extend their vocabulary knowledge connected to the topic -be able to improve taking part effectively in group activities and competitive quizzes -be able to use expressions of certainty while discussing events likely to happen in the present and past

Conclusion

All the same the provided lesson plan can be find productive by foreign language teachers to cunduct a language class, as children are always keen on fairy tales. Thus the lesson assists to improve students both educational and educative knowledge as well.

Pre-stage. Introduction:

Objectives: to improve children’s outlook about fairy tales with the help of presentation

Procedure: ☺ Ask students several questions about fairy tales. Explain them about the theme while presenting PPP

While-stage. doing activity 1, explain pupils new words which describe characters of fairy tales:

Procedure: ☺☺☺ Subdivide your pupils into two groups, distribute them different pictures of fairy tales hero and heroines. In the meanwhile students should define each photos of the faory tale characters.

After doing this each participant of the subgroups should act their role in the fairy tales created by their selves.

Homework:  ☺Pupils should learn new words by heart ☺Pupils should draw their favourite characters from different fairy tales and describe them
