Introduction

We are going to learn about the health benefits of fruits and vegetables.  We will determine why they are so good and so good for us!

Task

We are going to learn about eating healthy and why we should eat different fruits and vegetables.  You will identify twos fruit and two vegetables and will be able to tell why they are so good for us. You will show the class how they help your body. You will be so excited to try new and healthy foods!

Process

A) Students will work in groups of 3, I will assign you to a group, each person will be responsible for specific tasks.

1) Taskmaster/ Time Keeper - The person that makes sure everyone is on task for the assignment. They will also keep track of the time that they have left so they will be able to finish on time.

2) Recorder - The person who writes down the ideas of the group.

3) Illustrator -The person who helps with creating the images for the project.

C) Your team is going to be creating a presentation to the class as to why fruits and vegetables are good for you.  The presentation can be done with using delivery format you choose, such as using your Ipad or on paper. Here is a list of fruits and vegetables, your team is to pick two fruits and two vegetables to tell about, you must give your choice to the teacher, to make sure all teams have different selections.

Rationale: Children need to learn healthy habits at a young age, so that they may continue healthy habits into their futures. 

Learner Description:  The student will learn about natural foods and why they are healthy
