GOAL 5 Agenda 2030: Gender equality

Introduction

On September 25th 2015, all United Nations Members States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development made up of 17 different goals with the aim of providing prosperity for the people and the planet. As a matter of fact, they include issues concerning the our planet such as water pollution, the quality of the air as well as problems concerning our soxiety and how it is structured like poverty and gender discriminations, as stated in this video:

 

In this context, we are going to focus mainly on gender equality and why it is so important to achieve it.
