You've Got Mail!

Introduction

Lucky you! Today you have received a letter in the mail from your long lost cousin,Pippa, that lives in London, England! She tells you that life in England is very fun, butthat she thinks it is probably different than life in the United States! She is curious and wants to know what life is like in America!

Task

Pippa is anxiously awaiting a letter back from you! She wants to know all about your experiences in America. Today you will all, individually, be writing a letter back to Pippa, addressing the envelope to the letter, and putting it in the “mail box” to send to her!

Process

1. Please read from the following resources and learn some facts about the United States and London, England!2. Complete a Venn Diagram on a separate piece of paper comparing the United States,England, and what they have in common. Please have at least 3 points in each section.

3. Turn in Venn Diagram to your teacher.4. Use the following link to help you write a letter back to Pippa! Use a separate sheet ofpaper and include all necessary parts using the following template. -  Writing a FriendlyPersonal Letter Template IMPORTANT! In the body please include the following criteria:- An initial response to her letter- A few of your favorite things about the United States (vacation spots, monuments,states, etc.)- What you think might be different about the United States and England (use thefollowing resources! - Facts About London and Facts about USA ) 

5. Address your envelope to the following address:Pippa 1313 Roadway Drive London, England IMPORTANT! Use the following template and include all parts! -  Addressing an Envelope 6. Place your letter in the addressed envelope and close the envelope.7. Put your letter in the “mail box” at the front of the room!
