How to Get a Job
Research and present ways to look for a job, go on a job interview, and get a job.
Task
Today you will be researching how to research, interview and find a job.
Read four articles and complete a RACE ticket for each article.
Submit the tickets to your teacher.
Use this information to create a google slide presentation with your group, and share this presentation with your classmates.
Process
Step One: Read "Working Papers: New York State Department of Labor" and answer the question using RACE:
What steps do you need to take in order to get working papers?
Step Two: Read "Jobs for 14 or 15 Year Olds" and answer the following question using RACE:
What are three jobs a 14 year old can get?
Step Three: Read "Kansas Teens Have a Great Experience at Future Business Leadership Competition" and answer RACE:
What is the business that the teens created?
Step Four: Go to a computer and watch "Job Interview Tips for Teens" and create a list of suggestions for teens when they go on a job interview.
