The human body is the most wonderful, complex machine in the world! Your body can walk, run, climb, and sit. It can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel. It can eat, talk, laugh, lift things, play games, think, and read.
Background information:
A few systems of the human body include:
The nervous system: the brain , spinal cord, and millions of nerve cells in the body make up the nervous system
The digestive system: the mouth, esophagus, stomach, large and small intestines and other organs make up the digestive system .
The respiratory system: Oxygen enters your body through the nose or mouth, moves down the windpipe and into the lungs. The lungs are the most important part of your respiratory system.
Task
Calling all Doctors!!
Saint Joseph's Hospital has selected you to be a member of a team of doctors to visit schools and inform the students of the roles of the organs within each system and the importance of each system to help the body stay healthy.
(Kindergarten-3: pick 1 system to research. 4-5: pick 2 systems to research)
