Introduction
Hello everyone!
We are Elena, Chana, María, Leonor and Lorena, and we are going to explain irregular verbs.
The English language has regular and irregular verbs, both have specific past simple and past participle spellings. To create past tense and past participle of regular verbs you only have to add -ed at the end of the word. However, the patterns for irregular verbs change, and the past simple and past participle can end differently, so we are going to show you a classification of irregular verbs to make it easy to understand.
Task
First of all, we are going to explain that there are three main groups to classify irregular verbs. We are going to show, as an example, the first group that has not changes. Then, we are going to divide the class into four groups; two of them will work with verbs of the second group of classification, and the others with verbs of the third group of classification.
They must create subgroups to classify those verbs, and then they have to share their opinions with the whole class, so the two groups who has worked with the same group of classification will compare if they have created the same subgroups.
Now, we are going to give to each group a list with some irregular verbs, and they have to work with them and classify them into categories.

Process
AIMS:
- To know the differents groups and subgroups
- To classify irregular verbs
- To work cooperatively
CONTENT:
- Irregular verbs
RESOURCES:
- A list of verbs of the differents groups
TIME:
- The activity will take 15 minutes more or less but the whole session will take 40 minutes.
GROUPS:
- 4 groups of 10 people each group more or less.
Evaluation
We will check that the students will create as many groups as possible and that they will classified those verbs correctly.
If they don't find some classification subgroups, we will explain how many subgroups we have created and how we have classified the verbs.
Finally, we will explain them that we had created five different groups classification. Three of them are the one that we show to them first, and the others two are exceptions, there are only a few verbs in this category.
