Run-ons and fragments

Introduction

Run-on Sentences and Fragments

As you know, I expressed a big concern about these (particularly run-ons) last week. This week, we are going to try and fix the problem.

You need to follow the process on the next page.

Task

This is what you need to do:

  1. Watch the first PowerPoint and follow the directions you are given in it.
  2. Watch the second PPT as extra help – twice and slowly!
  3. Read DIRECTIONS Penguins and follow the directions you have been given (20 points).
  4. AT HOME (or in class if you finish early): Find your own online practice tests for run-ons and fragments.
  5. AT HOME: Type up the work you did in class. Name it: Your name (this means put your name, not call it “your name”!) Webquest. In this document, also copy and paste the URL’s of the practice sites you went to and some comments about how you liked them and how successful you were.
  6. Send me the document on EDMODO.
