Hello teachers, welcome to my webquest! A major reason for this webquest is for the participants to obtain a sense of understanding about the poverty, war and culture of Afghanistan. The students will research more about Afghanistan and it's lifestyle. Enjoy my webquest!
Introduction
Afghanistan is ranked among the most poorest, dangerous countries in the world - with numerous attacks and deaths occurring everyday. Afghanistan is not very fortunate when it comes to education, food, water and all the basic necessities that people need in life. Not many people realise that catastrophic and tragic events happen in Afghanistan frequently - many just focus on the 'main' countries such as the USA and Australia. To give a sense of understanding to participants, we're going to have to do some research.
Task
The task in this webquest is to obtain a sense of understanding of the disastrous events and tragic lifestyles that happen in Afghanistan. First, you'll research some of the background knowledge in order to get a better understanding on Afghanistan in general. After that, you will have to research the statistics of poverty and war as well as the government in Afghanistan.
Process
The process is self-explanatory but you will have to do a lot of research to get an understanding of Afghanistan.

In this webquest you will be assessed on how you have completed the webquest and how efficient your answers are. You cannot copy and paste from other website, everything should be in your own words. The way how you will explain your opinion in some of the questions will also be assessed. If you have explained and outlined each question and shown you have obtained a sense of understanding about the poverty, war, and culture of Afghanistan, that will show me you have done well in this task.
Conclusion

The overall message this webquest is trying to teach is to know that Afghanistan may have war and high rates of poverty but it's culture is beautiful. 6.A Parvana is a eleven year old girl living in a one room apartment with her family. Her father works at the marketplace in Kabul. Parvana's dad sells clothing, house items, and dishes. He also reads and writes letters in Pashtu and Dari because a lot of Afghans do not know how to read and write.
