So you've recently watched the movie "Juno". Now, it's time to go a bit deeper on to what the movie suggests and brings about by doing some research on teenage pregnancy and what it entails. Here you will find some websites for you to delve into and try to complete all the tasks. 

Task

1- This link will redirect you to the website of the MTV show "16 and Pregnant". You may watch an episode to get yourself familiarised with the show. You may also visit the show's website designed to raise awareness. After doing so answer:

Up to what extent are television shows that show the different struggles of teenage parents-to-be helpful to prevent teenage pregnancy? Write an argumentative essay based on the MTV show “16 and Pregnant”. 

 

 2. Here you will find plenty of information regarding teenage pregnancy, prevention and other important issues. After reading and surfing this site answer:

Your school has asked students to create campaigns to raise awareness and to prevent teenage pregnancy and STDs. Create your own campaign where people could contribute by creating a hot-line where people could call and get information, by holding debate sessions, creating flyers and having guests (doctors, counsellors, etc.) to further explain and shed light on to pregnancy, consent, and STDs. 

 

3. Create a Glogster poster where a comparison is drawn between teenage pregnancy in the US and in Latin America OR a comparison among different ethnic groups in the United States. They should include the following main issues.
