Hello, Journalism students!

When you think of journalism, do you think of old, musty newspapers that no one reads? Well, it might be true that people today tend to use newspapers for art projects or for training puppies, but while paper newspapers are no longer a popular way to get information, journalism is not dead. Journalism has just moved online! Today you are going to learn about this new and exciting way of sharing information called online journalism.

You are going to visit several different online newspapers and examine them for content and format.

Process

Please visit the 8 websites below and answer the following questions for each of the websites you visit:

1. What is the title of the newspaper you are looking at?

2. What are the different sections in this newspaper(for example, world news, entertainment...)

3. What section are you surprised to see?

4. What sections do you feel could have been included?

5. How is the website set up? Sketch out the front page.

6. Do you feel this set-up makes it easier or harder for users? Explain why. 

7. List the title of one interesting news story.
