You are 40 years old!
You have an exciting job as a travel writer.
But now, NASA is offering vacation packages to travel through space!
Imagine you have been hired by NASA to create a travel guide for people visiting the nine planets for the first time!
1. Your job is to learn as much information as you can about each planet.
2. Then, you will advise tourists on what to bring and what to expect as they visit each planet.
3. The tasks will take you through step by step and help prepare you for your travel article.
4. Good luck your career as a travel writer depends on it!
Task
Task Number One
Before you can start writing about the planets, it is best to learn a little about each planet.
I learn best when listening to a song!
Click on the video below to listen to the song that teaches you a little about each planet.
Fill in interesting facts you hear about each planet in the 'Planet Information Chart' handed to you.
You may listen to the song more than once.
Process
Task Number Two
Now you know a little bit about each planet. Which planet do you think would be the most interesting planet to visit? You need to choose one planet for your travel brochure.
Next, you need to learn about the Milky Way Galaxy, so you can describe to your clients what they will see and experience on the way to your planet. Will they fly through the asteroid belt? Will they see any famous constellations? Which other planets will they pass by?
This video will take you on a tour of the Milky Way Galaxy. Using the Milky Way note taking guide given to you, write down information about where your planet is and what is surrounding your planet. You may also want to include interesting facts about the Milky Way or your planet, to get potential clients excited about visiting space.

Task Number Three
This web site will allow you to read about the solar system. Don't worry if it takes 100,000 years to cross the Milky Way Galaxy, in forty years your tourist space ship will be able to travel faster and make it across in a number of days. On this site you will see the planets listed in order on the right hand side of the screen. If you click on the link to your planet it will help you learn more about what your planet has to offer. Use your brochure organizer to help you find which details you should add to your project. After this, you should be ready to create your brochure!

Task Number Four
This link will take you to a group of photos of the solar system and planets to use in your brochure. Use the arrows to navigate from picture to picture. If you want to use a picture in your brochure, hold your finger on it and it will ask you to save it.
