Communicable Diseases

Introduction

This Webquest is designed to inform people about communicable diseases.

Communicable diseases are diseases which can be caught via transmition form person to person, food or water, animals or the environment.

Sometimes when we contract these diseases, we need to be excluded from attending school, for our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of other students and teachers.

You will work in pairs to research ONE common communicable disease that people around the school could possibly contract.

You will need to conduct some research to find information about the illness and present your findings on a poster for display around the classroom so that other groups and class visitors can also learn about your chosen illness.

  • What is the treatment and how long does it last?
  • Do you need to be excluded from school if you have this illness?
