This webquest is designed for ESL students who are interested in famous cars thoughout the world. You will find thrills and entertainment by completing the tasks at hand. Buckle up your seat belts and have a safe webquest driving.
Task
Your task is to watch the video and answer and answer the questions related to it. You will be given a set of instructions on how to do the project.

1. What country produces the best cars? Why?
2. What is your favorite model/type of car?
3. Which country do you think drives the most? Why?
4. Do you think all coutnries use seatbelts? Explain.
5. Have you ever seen a race or would like to see one?
6. Has any member of your family drive faster than the speed limit? Explain.
7. Do you think newer cars are faster than older cars? Why?
8. What do you need to make a car go faster?
9. What is your favorite movie about cars?
10. What if your dream car?
Map/Race Track
Create a map/race track. Be sure to include the terrain (wilderness, desert, snow, mountains, jungle, etc.) Use colored pencils, pens, markers, or crayons. Include the start and finish lines in your drawings. Be prepared to share with the class.

Process

1. Click on the beginning of the video. Before the racing event. Discuss on which car you think will win the drag race.
2. Please answer the 10 questions based on your experience and knowledge about cars.
3. Get into groups of three and discuss and share your answers with one another.
4. On a blank sheet of paper, draw a map of a race track. Be prepared to share with your group.

Conclusion

Cars have always facinated people throughout the world. The different countries throughout the world have made various models of cars. Most of the design of the cars are influenced by the culture of each country. They are all unique in their own way. We use cars to travel to and from work and entertain ourselves. You can also say that having a car is living the fast life.
