Baseball

Introduction

This WebQuest is a way of learning about baseball, and its professional players. There will be lessons on certain players, in certain positions. There will also be fun facts on the game that you will have to come up with.

Task

Your task is to find out trivia about baseball, and answer questions about the players, and their teams. There will be simple short answer questions, and research questions that must be answered. These lessons will be graded at the end to see how welll you know the best game in the world.

Process

Section 1:

Research 5 players for five different teams, that all play the same position. Then compare their stats, and decide who is the best player in a paragraph.

Section 2:

Research and player, and find out all about him. You must find out his team, his age, his weight, and his height.

Section 3:

Find 10 fun facts about baseball in general. This can include the history, players, teams, etc.

Section 4:

Write an essay about your favorite player and team. You must explain the reasoning for both.

Evaluation

For this lesson, you will be graded on accuracy of the data, grammar and spelling, and quality of work; not on the player you choose to research. Each section is worth 20 points, coming to a total of 80 points.
