Introduction
In this webquest you will be asked to travel back in time to life during the 1930's. As we read Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird," is it important to walk in the shoes of the characters during this time.
During this time, the Great Depression was affecting the lives of people everywhere! Gender, race and class distinctions were evident and human life and freedom was not something that many took for granted.
You will be asked to dive into the historical context surrounding the text, while also opening your hearts to the characters Atticus, Calpurnia, Scout, Jem, Dill, and even Boo Radley.

By the end of the reading, you will become this character and defend/explain your reaction to three different culminating events in the text. It is your job to demonstrate your creativity by exemplifying the attributes of your selected character.
