Do you know who was the first actor to own his very own studio and production company? Do you know where more MLB players come from than any other nation? You can discover these and many more amazing and surprisng facts as you travel the web and create biography cards about your favorite Hispanic super achiever.
Task
You must chose a famous person of Hispanic decnt and create a biography card with their: picture, birthdate, birthpalce, and three intersting facts or contributions they made to our nation. You will share your cards with your classmates and trade cards throughout the task to create a classroom referance book about the contributions Hispanics have made to our nation.
Process
- Choose a Hispanic American from the list in our classroom.
- Tell the teacher who you choose.
- Search various websites to discover information about your research subject, you may be surprised by the amazing things they have accomplished and the struggles they have overcome.
- Create the biography card with the format given to you by your teacher.
- Share your card with atleast 5 classmates.
- On a seperate card, write down the name and one fact about your trading partner's subject.
- Share your card with the class.
Evaluation
Evaluation:
You will be evaluated on the completion of all items on your card.
You must share your card with the classroom and will be graded on the quality of your presentation: clear voice, eye contact, question and answer portion.
