Introduction

Look into your fridge.  What do you see?  Well, hold on before you go on listing everything in your sight..  My real question is: where is your ketchup bottle?

"Right here on the refeigerator door", you might say.  Well, did you know 

that 97% of American homes keep ketchup in their kitchen?  it is not surprising since I would personally keep it there, too.  "That's a neat fact, but why are you telling me this?" you might have asked. 

 Well, my friend, i'll lead you into this saucy webquest, and you will probably get something out of it.

Task

By the end of this, you will be a ketchup expert.

Well, actually, you would not.  But you'll definitely learn some neat things about ketchup, which is pretty good.  Now, here is a list of things that will be presented to you by using the internet:

Synopsis of what you should have learned:

Ketchup originated from Asia.  The word ketchup originally ment fish sauce which was made out of fermented and salted anchovies!   An early recipe of the tomata catsup in 1817 in bitian still contained some anchovies.  the anchovies have been dropped from the recipe later on, though.  Interestingly enough, the English have enjoyed ketchup even before they decided to add tomatoes into the mixture.  It's pretty interesting.
