Introduction
What is Language?
According to the Merriam Websters Online Dicionary, Language is,

Language is what we use to comunicate in order to survive. Just imagine yourself all alone in a foreign country without able to comunicate! What will you do? Think about it. I'm sure theres many ways to comunicate, but language is essential. What to do is we dont know what an object is called ? or what to expect when arriving to other countries, with other cultures? If you dont have language, you can't read about foreign cultures or people. What they like or dont like? what are their believes?
Let's face it, Language is important!
We need language in order to comunicate efficiently. If we do not have an efficient use of language,it may be more dificult to comunicate or we might be missunderstood.
So, In order to comunicate better, we need to expand our vocabulary and our understanding of it
So let's get started!
Task
The week's Assingment?
Easy!
Let me explain,
We will be identifying everyday things. Things, people (nouns & Pronouns), places, animals etc.
Why?
Identifying everyday people, feelings, things, accions etc, is an awesome way to start expanding your vocabulary. In expanding your vocab you will also practice your spelling, pronounciation and understanding of th English language.
When you go to the process I will explain how is it that you are going to expand your vocabulary while completing your task.

A. How is it going to be done?

What is it that you are going to need to complete the task at hand?
- Computer w/ e-mail account and Power Point Program
- Smartphone w/ Instant messaging application like "WhatsApp"
- Voice recorder
- Camera
What and How...
- Each student will have to submit a total minimum of 20 words. This will be done, submitting 5 words each day. NO LATER THAN 9 pm
- I (the teacher) will create a group, using the application, in wich every student will be added to this group using their own phone.
- These words will be submitted using your smartphone with "whatsapp"
- Each day, the student will submit a total of 5 words. Each word will be acompanied by the following.
- - Picture of the object
- - The correct written word
- - Antonym and Sinonym
- - Voice recording of the word (Voice Note By You)
**Important**
- For those students that do not have access to a smartphone, will use a computer and their e-mail account. Every day you ( student, will submitt your 5 words, with all the components that I have required . You will have upload the pictureas and recordings in order to send them via e-mail.
- For those that do not have acces to a computer, will use a voice recorder and a camera. With the camera and recorder, you will take pictures and record yourself identifying your object. You will hand in the picture with the recording and the rest of the requierements in class.
**These students that are not able to use a voice recorder, for the assignment, they will meet with the teacher every day to say the words to the teacher in class.

B. At the end of the week, What Am I going to do?
A Power Point Presentation
At the end of the week, each student will present all of the words that they have submitted using "WhatsApp", e-mail, etc using Power Point.
For every word you will produce a slide. This slide must provide all the information you have already submitted
- Picture
- Correct written word
- Antonym and Synonym
- Your original voice recording of the word
**This is what I wnat you to add in your presentation
I want you to use your vocabulary to write phrases and sentences using these words. You will try to include sentences using the past, present and future tenses
Evaluation
This is a two grade assignment,
So pay attention!
During the week and using the app or e-mail
1.For each picture and the correct word the student will be given 2 points
2. For the correct synonyms, antonyms 2 points
3. For the correct pronunciation 1 points.
This first part is a total of 100 points
At the end of the week
Presenting these words at the end of the week in a power point presentation would be an additional 100 points
Conclusion
Why do I find this Assingment Important?
Language is a important part of our lives. We need language in order to communicate effectively with others. Technology in another important tool in our lives and using this tool to teach and learn in the process, is an important step in order to connect more people and take education to a new level. With this assingment students will have learned the importance of language in our lives and how language is a basic and important part of our society. They will also have learned the importance that technology has in our lives and how the use of technology could be used to learn.
