3-ESS2-2. Obtain and combine information to describe climates in different regions of the world.
Introduction
Congratulations!
You have just been hired as a climate officer, and the world needs your help!
As a new climate officer it’s important you first have a clear understanding of climate vs weather. Your next step is to know all about different climates, so you will be assigned to a group with other climate officers to explore a specific country’s climate. Together you will find out as much as possible and creatively come up with a poster to share to the class, so we can all be informed of climates around the world! And can be successful at our job!
When you are ready, move on to the task!

Task
Welcome Climate Officers!
First thing is first; make sure to get a slip of paper with your assigned country on it from your head officer. With your other three climate officers, you will be making a visual display to present to the rest of the officers in your unit. Throughout the process each officer in your group will have a different role. You will come together near the end of the project and collaborate on a visual display.

Process
Each officer can pick a specific job to do:
(But remember we all need to do our parts in order to make this work!!)
- Photo Finder Your job is to find as many visuals as you can to help explain your climate as best as you can. You will present your photos and explain why you chose them to the rest of the unit on presentation day.
