Introduction
A curriculum vitae (CV) provides an overview of a person's experience and other qualifications. Writing a CV is a very important procedure because it determines your success in applying for a job. At first it looks as easy as pie to write a CV but to write a successful and accurate one, requires both time and efforts.

You are to complete your personal CV (British English) / Résumé (American English)!

Process

Step 9 Summary / Personal Statement
Present your skills (near the top of the resume, under your job objective), especially those your new employer/the organization/the school, etc. is looking for.
Here you can find an example:
First, make a brief list of key points that a new employer would want you to have. They need to show that you are qualified and a desirable candidate for the job.
This might help you:
- How much experience (months or years) you have - paid or unpaid - using skills that are RELATED to your chosen field of work.
- Your education, including any training in that chosen field.
- Your best accomplishment that relates to, or supports, your job objective.
- Your key skills, talents, or special knowledge related to your job objectives.
- Something about your attitude towards working, or the way you get along with people, that would be appealing to your future employer.
!!!Make sure that every statement in your Summary is related to your job objective and is supported by what you say in your skills section and your work history section further down the page!!!
OTHER TIPPS:
- Keep it simple and don't make the pages too full.
- Be positive. Use clear headings and language. Write short and meaningful sentences.
- CHECK YOUR LANGUAGE TO AVOID MISTAKES (spelling, grammar, etc). Companies have been known to disqulaify applicants simply because the resume itself demonstrated lack of attention to detail.
- Format: use a clear and easy-to-read font, size 9 or 10 point. The use of bold or different sizes or colours can highlight important information.
