Process
1. BEFORE THE INTERVIEW: Do your homework and learn all you can about the company. Find out the services or products they provide and how long they have been in business. This will impress an interviewer that you have done research.. Know where you are going. Do a practice drive to site before interview. Arrive 5-15 minutes early. Dress for success. Women: dress, skirt or dress pants with a nice blouse or blazer. Men: pants(no jeans) collared shirt, tie, sport coat and shoes.Be conservative! Do Not wear loud clothes!
2. THE INTERVIEW. Inform the secretary that you have an interview, whom it is with and the time. When you meet the interviewer, look into his/her eyes, firmly shake hand, introduce yourself, smile and wait to be seated. Be positive in your answers and let the interviewer lead the interview. Do not talk too much. Always face interviewer with good posture and positive body language. Let the interviewer know about your skills, knowledge and experience that will make you a qualified candidate for the company. Know your resume and be prepared to answer questions about your skills. Have a list of questions to ask interviewer at the end of interview.
3. THE FOLLOW-UP: Send the interviewer a thank-you letter soon after the interview. Call the company about a week after the interview to find out if they have made a decision. If not, find out when they expect to make a decision.
