Introduction
Hooray! It's the holiday season and there is a lot of shopping to be done for the people that you love. For this project, you are going to pretend you have saved all your money for the year and have $300 to spend on holiday shopping! You will be planning how to spend your savings to buy presents for the people who live in your house.

Task
You have a budget of $300 to spend for your shopping project. If you were really given this money, you would want to spend it all, but spend it wisely. Try to look for the best buys and deals so you can get more for your money! Your task is to set up a budget for your Christmas shopping trip. You must decide 3 things:1. How much money you will spend on each person?2. What do you think you want to buy for each person?3. What stores will you be shopping at?You will need to complete 4 things for this project:1. You will complete a budget worksheet. (See example here) 2. Create a Final Budget Worksheet to show how you spent your money. Example3. You will create a way to display your data to show how you have spent your money. (for example, a pie graph or a bar graph, using Excel or Word). 4. You will need to answer the questions on the attached worksheet.

Process
Step 1: First you will need to decide on a budget for each of the people on your list. For example, $50 on Mom and Dad, $25 on your siblings. You will take the $300 you have saved and create a budget (Part A Worksheet) showing how much money you PLAN to spend for each person living in your house and at least 3-4 ideas for each member of your family.
Step 2: Then you are to use the resources page provided to "go shopping". Remeber you must stay within your $300 limit and you can buy what you like as long as you get one thing for each person living in your household.
Step 3: As you are shopping you will need to go back to your worksheet (Worksheet B example) and write down what you bought each person, how much it cost and where you bought it from.
Step 4: After you have all your shopping done and you have Worksheet B completed with what you bought each person, how much it cost and where you bought it, you must use this information to display the data on the money you spent. (Create a Bar Graph or Pie Graph in Word or Excel).
Step 5: Finally you will answer the questions about your budget project.
