    WELCOME STUDENTS TO THE "WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM SCAVENGER HUNT" The story of the Watson family takes place during one of the darkest, yet most pivotal moments in American history. The U.S. South was caught up in the fight for basic human rights, later known as The Civil Rights Movement. In order to fully understand and appreciate the time period of this novel, you need to travel back in time....Let's go back to the 1960's.... Click on the "Task" tab and you will begin your journey.

Your task is to travel back in time and discover what life was like in the
1960's and to learn about the Civil Rights Movement). You will visit
different websites, read and view different information and documents. Then
you will answer questions presented to you in this scavenger hunt. Record
