You are about to set out on an adventure to discover some important elements of
Roman life! You will search for information and listen closely in lessons to make s
ome fascinating discoveries about the Ancient Romans! Keep track of your findings in your Ancient Rome: Daily Life Booklet or poster!

Work independently or in pairs to research at least one of these main elements of Roman life:
Roman Family
Roman Homes
Roman Food
Roman Clothing
- Your task is to answer the questions, or follow the activity tasks in the WebQuest by using the internet website listed for you under the Process tab.
- All the questions will be in the WebQuest and all your answers should be recorded in full sentences in your Ancient Rome: Daily Life Booklet or on your poster.
- You are encouraged to illustrate your poster or each page of your booklet.
By the end of your exploration, you should be able to present and describe at least one element of daily Roman life in detail, using your Daily Life Booklet or poster.
Process

1. Assemble your Ancient Rome: Daily Life Booklet, or gather supplies for your poster.
- You may create your own booklet*, or use one that your teacher provides for you.
*fold a few sheets of white printer paper in half along the long side. Choose a colored sheet of paper for the front and back cover, or color/illustrate outside sheet of paper. Staple along the spine.
2. Choose at least one of the main elements of Roman life as your topic for research:

Fun Bonus:
Dress yourself like the Romans!
Materials:
Large sheet of white butcher paper
Pencil
Crayons
Cut a piece of butcher paper large enough to fit your entire body. Lie down on the paper and have a classmate trace around you. Use crayons to add clothing and details to your outline to fit in with the Romans!
4. Organize and record all your work in your Ancient Rome: Daily Life Booklet or poster.
5. Illustrate and/or print images for your booklet or poster.
6. Schedule a time with your teacher to present your work to your classmates.
