Introduction
DID YOU KNOW? There are over 200,000 identified plant species and the list is growing all the time.

Each of the 200,000+ species identified are all different! Some need a lot of sunlight, some grow better in the shade. Some need wet soil, some do better with dry soil. The way to have the best garden is to know your flowers!
Here is my problem. I purchased 3 different flowers that I want to plant together. But, each of the flowers need different amounts of sunlight to grow!
Task
You will be designing a greenhouse that will allow each of the plants to get the proper amount of sunlight while being next to each other.
No No, not a green HOUSE
A greenhouse!

What is a greenhouse?
A greenhouse is a house that allows plants to grow all year long. It protects the plants when it becomes cold outside and it also helps to keep all the animals away.
Process
Step 1- Each group member will chose to research one of the following. Everyone must do a different topic:
- researcher of the Peace Lily

- researcher of the Hydrangea

- researcher of the Marigold

- researcher of greenhouses

Step 2- You will then use the links provided to do research. Take notes in your journals.

Step 3-
Once all the research is gathered, the team must build a greenhouse that will allow all 3 plants to grow while sitting next to each other. Before you begin to build, you must make a plan. Write/ draw in your journals the team’s plan. Plan what the greenhouse will look like, the design you will make, what materials you will need, how many materials.
Step 4- Once the plan has been made, get some construction paper. On the back, write every group member's name and what they researched. On the front, draw your greenhouse creation.
Step 5- When you have finished your drawings, pass in your journals with all your notes and your greenhouse creation.

| Scientific Knowledge | Explanations by all group members indicate a clear and accurate understanding of scientific principles underlying the construction and modifications. | Explanations by all group members indicate a relatively accurate understanding of scientific principles underlying the construction and modifications. | Explanations by most group members indicate relatively accurate understanding of scientific principles underlying the construction and modifications. | Explanations by several members of the group do not illustrate much understanding of scientific principles underlying the construction and modifications. |
| Information Gathering | Accurate information taken from several sources in a systematic manner. | Accurate information taken from a couple of sources in a systematic manner. | Accurate information taken from a couple of sources but not systematically. | Information taken from only one source and/or information not accurate. |
| Plan | Plan is neat with clear measurements and labeling for all components. | Plan is neat with clear measurements and labeling for most components. | Plan provides clear measurements and labeling for most components. | Plan does not show measurements clearly or is otherwise inadequately labeled. |
| Construction -Materials | Appropriate materials were selected and creatively modified in ways that made them even better. | Appropriate materials were selected and there was an attempt at creative modification to make them even better. | Appropriate materials were selected. | Inappropriate materials were selected and contributed to a product that performed poorly. |

Conclusion
THANK YOU!!
Your greenhouse is amazing! All of my plants are flourishing and have never looked better! I greatly appreciate all of your hard work!
