THE WATER CYCLE

Introduction

This webquest is designed for a 4th Grade group of students in primary education, on the natural sciences subject.

Precipitation, evaporation, and transpiration are all terms that sound familiar, yet may not mean much to you. They are all part of the water cycle, a complex process that not only gives us water to drink, fish to eat, but also weather patterns that help grow our crops.

Most of the water on Earth, 97% to be exact, is salt water found in the oceans.Only about 3% of Earth's water is fresh.

Task

The water cycle unit will be completed by doing 3 tasks. For each task you will use some resources (internet, books, movies, etc...) to investigate and learn about each part of the cycle. These tasks will be essential to do the final project, which will consists in making a mural to present it to your classmates.

The first two activities will be done at home, while the third one in class in small groups collaborating each other, sharing knowledge and materials.
