Introduction
  • 50% of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14 and 75% by age 24.

Mental illness is an epidemic that incapacitates the human brain and corrupts people’s thoughts and feelings. But there are also many mental disorders/illnesses that can affect the human brain physically. There is no complete cure for this. Many people are unaware that they may have a mental disorder until they have an outburst, tick, or show sign. 

 

Task
  1. Students will understand key characteristics of mental disorders.

  3. Students will be able to understand treatments of mental is disorders.

Investigate internet sites to gather information that will answer the following:

Process

You will be creating a PowerPoint based on a mental disorder you chose from the list provided in class.

  • Create a folder labeled Mental Disorders for recording information to be used. (Place a folder in your student file on the network.)
  • Arrange notes for use in developing a 10 Slide PowerPoint (min 10 -max 20) *If not 10 Pages automatic zero*
  • Design a cover page that includes a title, your name and grade.
