Introduction

Reporters in the world today have to deal with various influx of information from various sources all over the internet. It is of utmost importance to report on the most accurate view of the issue at hand. Hence, reporters should consider perspectives and accounts from various stakeholders involved in the issue at hand before reporting on the issue. So what considerations do reporters make before considering and accepting these accounts and perspectives? Let us take a look!

Task

You are a reporter at a prestigious local news company. You have been tasked to report on the Little India riot in Singapore on 8 December 2013, specficially identifying the sequence of events on that day as well as the possible causes of the riots to surface the account that truly reflected what transpired on that day.

Process

You are you team of reporters should split up and research on various perspectives from the various stakeholders involved in the riot. In order to manage time well, each member should look at a stakeholder each and identify the motivations, assumptions and bias each of the stakheolder has with regard to the riot.

Evaluation

You are to present your final document in the form of a report outlining the sequence of events that transpired on that day and identifying the pissible causes of the riot on that fateful day. 

Conclusion

You are to reflect on your overall reporting experience and email your reflection to me, your editor, once you have completed your report.
