Introduction
Utah has a population density of about 33 people per square mile, but not all of those people are distributed evenly around the state. Some areas of Utah are more densely populated than others. Today we are going to explore the reasons why Utah is populated the way it is.

You will look at 4 different maps. You will first identify TOADLS on each map. You will then use the maps to explore how and why populations are distributed the way they are throughout Utah.

Step 1: Identify TOADLS for each of the following maps.
Step 2: Answer the questions in your work packet about each map.
Step 3: Write a summary that explains why Utah's population is distributed the way it is throughout Utah.
