Finding the Main Idea and Supporting Details

Introduction

Finding the Main Idea of a story can be hard sometimes! With a partner, you will be reading a few books and playing a few games to help you have a better understanding of finding the main idea and supporting details of a story!

Task

After reading "Let's Work Together!" with a partner, discuss with your partner some things from the story.

-Who were the characters in the story?

-Where did this story take place?

-What did they do together?

-Why is it better to work together sometimes?

When you are finished discussing these questions, with your partner, write down or draw a picture of an example of another way working together can be helpful.
