Task
1. You must help the president save the white house.
2. Using the money that is left select five goods, and five services to keep the white house going.
3. Create a poster using the goods and services you have selected.
4. You will take an online quiz at the end to test your knowledge
Process
1. First, you may need to be reminded about what goods and services are. Using you headphones click on the link and watch the video to find out about goods and services,
2. You also need to know who makes and uses these goods and services, so watch this video on consumers and producers (fast forward to :40 and stop at 5:50)
3. Watch these other two videos and read this webpage while you look for examples of goods and services.
(Hint: It would be helpful to keep a list of what goods and services you want to use, so you can remember them when it is time for the poster.)
4. Now that you have an idea of some goods and services and producers and consumers, play these game to make sure you know which are which (Hint: look for examples in the games for your poster)

5. Now that you know what goods and services are, and some examples, get with your group and create your poster.
6. Draw your five goods and five services on your poster.
(Hint: Think of things that can be used at the white house. For example, a rocket is probably not a good that will be used at the white house, but a pen would be used a lot.)
7. Make a list of why you chose these five goods and five services.
8. Now that you have picked goods and services for the white house, pick one good and one service that you like, and draw it on a piece of paper.

Economics 1.7 The student will explain the difference between goods and services and describe how people are consumers and producers of goods and services.
Outcome:
Students will know the difference between Goods and Services, and be able to identify them. Students will also know what a consumer and producer is, and be able to identify some examples.
The students will be critically thinking when deciding what goods and services would be useful in the white house, as we continue with our white house unit.
