Comic story

Introduction

Comics have always been a good way of entertainment! Although some people may think that they are a recent invention, they are not. They appeared in 1920s with the publication of The Funnies. A comic book which was similar to a colour newspaper supplement as it didn't have a cover like comica have nowadays. From this moment on, comics have been edited from all over the world to enjoy our reading time.

In many comic strips, you can see that the present perfect simple and present perfect continuous have been utilised to describe events or activities which started in the past and have continued up to the present, or activities which stopped recently. These tenses among others are essential to create dialogues in  comics.
