Blood Flow through the Heart

Introduction

The heart is the battery that keeps us all alive and breathing! Without it we wouldn’t be able to eat, sleep, or even live! The flow of blood through the heart and throughout the body is very specific and can only happen in one direction. There are several different valves inside it that allow blood to flow and stop flowing in the same manner. The heart can either keep a person above or below ground, so the flow of blood inside it is vitally important! Today, you are going to act as a scientist and discover how it works!

Task

You will be using a simulator online to trace the flow of blood through the heart. Once you have mastered that, you will complete a series of questions that relate to the flow of blood inside the heart. Finally, you will create a presentation that shows me that you completely understand exactly how blood flows through the heart.

Once you feel that you have mastered this part, you may move on to the questions. I will have them laid out below and all you will need to do is answer them.

Finally, you will create a presentation that shows me that you completely understand the flow of blood through the heart. I would prefer this to be a narrated PowerPoint so that I can hear your voice and that way I will be able to tell if you really know your stuff! Here is the rubric for the presentation.
