Take a look at the picture above. What do you know about London?

As you probably know our English school organizes a four-day trip to London every year. Imagine you were responsible for organizing it!

  • Click on the Task button to learn about what you have to do in this project.
  • Click on the Process button to start your WebQuest.
  • Click on the Evaluation button for more information about how your work will be assessed.

Task

Your task:

  • Follow the steps in the Process to organize your ideal school trip to London. The trip usually takes place from March 17th to March 20th.
  • You will be using the Internet to visit the recommended websites and gather the information you need.
  • This is a group project so you are going to form two groups and a pair. Each group or pair has a different role to play: you will be the travel agent, the tourist and the entertainer.
  • In the Process you will find a number of questions to help you collect the necessary information and take notes.
  • The information will be used in an infographic showing the whole schedule from the moment we arrive at the airport in Greece until we return back. In the infographic you are required to use the gerund form.
  • The infographic will be presented to Ms. Papadopoulou during our final lesson of the year.

Process

Decide which group or pair will be the travel agent, the tourist and the entertainer. Each group or pair should communicate using the English language and will have different responsibilities. A friendly reminder: there is a time limit so you have to be quick and effective while searching for the information you need!

In case you need help with any unknown words you can use http://www.wordreference.com/. Be careful: Searching for every word that you do not know will cost you time so use it wisely :-)

STEP 1: Use the following recommended sites to answer the questions and gather information. You should keep notes on your notebooks.

The travel agent: Which flight should we take? Where are we going to stay? Compare prices and make your decision. The hotel should be situated in the centre of London.

STEP 2: Using the notes you have taken, create an infographic about what each day should include (https://www.easel.ly/viewEasel/5525183). I have already started it to help you. You can also watch the following video to get an idea of how infographics are created.
