Introduction
Six children are alive today thanks to three boys who leapt into a burning abandoned church near Windricksville, grabbed three children and tossed the to safety before the building collapsed. The three teenagers identified as Ponyboy Curtis, Dallas Winston, and Johnny Cade- where they were taken to their hometown hospital and were admitted for burns from the rescue effort.
Task
A hospital spokesman said that Johnny was hurt the most serious with burns all over his body and a broken back, a result of the flaming roof falling in. Dallas and Ponyboy were reported not so seriously injured but will be held for observation from minor burns.
Process
Police investigations later showed that the boys were greasers (hoods) and were involved with the death of Bob Sheldon. Despite this, they had become heroes, saving the lives of the young children.
Evaluation
Safely back with there families today were the six children who had gone on a school class trip and wondered away from the main group following their meal. They had been told not to enter the church. Witnesses at the scene say that the teenagers happened to be driving by the church near Jay Mountain and were the first to notice the flames engulfing the building.
Conclusion
Several witnesses cited the youths for there heroic actions. "They saved those kids that's all there is to it," said one parent. "The first thing we knew we saw those boys running toward the church. We were luck they were there and reacted so quickly. They are heroes in my book." Another witness stated " I was so relieved to see the men go in to save my darlings, they were such Nobel heroes." The teacher of the children called the boys "The bravest kids", "Angels sent from heaven", and "Professional heroes." More information is yet to come, as investigation is still in progress. They are still trying to find the cause of the fire. As for know the boys are recovering from there heroic deed.
