Today you are going to explore what a natural resource is and how communities use natural resources for economic gain! To learn more about natural resources in the community, you are going to go on a WebQuest! If you've never been on one before, a WebQuest is a series of activities you complete using multiple resources on the internet. In this unit, students will complete a WebQuest to learn more about natural resources and their affect on the economy. There are a total of 3 tasks that students will complete. At the end of each activity, they will be using a Web 2.0 tool to demonstrate what they have learned in the task.
Social Studies Standard Addressed: 3.SS.3.2.1 Explain how land, natural resources, labor, trade, and/or technology affect economic activities in the local community.
