Introduction
This exercise will help you plan and budget for a vacation. You will plan and coordinate your entire trip with an established budget. This needs to be considered a real life situation and needs careful planning so you do not exceed your available money. If you can make a budget, we will know exactly how much money you need for each activity planned. This will require all necessities down to the cloths you need to bring. So what is our budget?
Task
For this assignment, you will plan and choose your dream vacation destination. As you choose your dream vacation, you will need to figure out how much money in needed in total as you take on the task of paying for this vacation, as well as figuring out how much money is needed for each individual part of the trip. For example: food, flight, hotel, shopping, ect. You have a total of $2,000 for the trip and it must last at a minimum of 5 days.
Process
1. First you must figure out where you would like to travel. Then we need to figure out how we are going to get there! I have provided some links, but feel free to google and try to find a better deal!!
2. After you decide how you will get there, how will you get around while on your trip? Will you rent a car, scooter, or ride a bus? You need to find the best mode of transportation for where your trip is.
3. Where will you sleep? A hotel or some other form of housing is crucial for the enjoyment of your trip! How long will you stay? How much does the room cost per night? Do they supply any free meals? Try these websites and also feel free to google for a better deal!!
4. People gotta eat right?? You need to find at least 3 restaurants that you will eat at and how much (on average) it will cost you to eat there.
5. You need to have at least 4 places you are going to visit while on your vacation. They can be free, but make sure you do your research.
6. Those are the main expenses you will have for your trip. Now you need to calculate for all the "extras" that go along with a vacation. Gas, luggage, shopping, ect.
7. Lastly, you will create a table to explain what you found out about your destination. Every fee and expense needs to be included on this table and have a total amount of your trip. Along with the table you will write a short reflection about planning your vacation, what was the most expensive part of your trip, and was it less or more expensive than you originally thought? Also, how much could the expenses change if you brought a friend with you?

Conclusion
In your reflection of your overall assignment, remember to answer these questions:
- What did you learn about the overall planning process?
- Are there any expenses that were surprising to you?
- After all of the work, is this a place you would still like to travel to?
- Were there other means of transportation that might have been cheaper?
There are many different things to use this type of planning on. This can help you budget for any other purchases in the future like a house or car. You must remember to always plan for major expenses in your life.
