Grammar

Introduction

What is Grammar?

Grammar is the system of a language. People sometimes describegrammar as the "rules" of a language; but in fact no language hasrules*. If we use the word "rules", we suggest that somebody createdthe rules first and then spoke the language, like a new game. Butlanguages did not start like that. Languages started by people makingsounds which evolved into words, phrases and sentences. Nocommonly-spoken language is fixed. All languages change over time. Whatwe call "grammar" is simply a reflection of a language at a particulartime.

Do we need to study grammar to learn a language? The short answer is"no". Very many people in the world speak their own, native languagewithout having studied its grammar. Children start to speak before theyeven know the word "grammar". But if you are serious about learning aforeign language, the long answer is "yes, grammar can help you tolearn a language more quickly and more efficiently." It's important tothink of grammar as something that can help you, like a friend. Whenyou understand the grammar (or system) of a language, you canunderstand many things yourself, without having to ask a teacher orlook in a book.

Process

Firstly, we must know verb in grammar and the different betwen tenses.

English requires a through understanding of how verbs are used. Even the best speakers and writers some times have some troubles in choosing the appropriate or correct form of a verb for a sentence. For an instance, how often have you heard "I sung the song" instead of "I sang the song"?   But, we first have to know what a verb is.

1.   What is a verb?

2.   What is a Tense

3.   Verb Tenses

An important use of the verb is to indicate when something happens. It is the tense of a verb that tells you if something is happening right now , was happening at some time in the past or will be happening at some time in the future.

There are two ways in forming the past tense of the verb. Here is a site that will teach more about it.

4.   The Six Tenses of Verbs

Truely, learning the verb tense is one of the major requirements for us to learn more about the language to give us a clearer view of the rule lesson using these verb tenses just click on the link below.

5.  We often get confused in using the correct forms of the verb "Be". Thus we included this link to teach us more about the forms of the verb "Be".

6.  Here is the summary of Verb Tenses we have just talked.

7.  You can also see here in a table, the summary of our lesson.

8. You may encounter some irregular verbs. To help you discover more of the irregular verbs here are some lists of irregular verbs that you can be familiar with.

9.  Here are some online exercises to check if you really understood the lesson.

10. Construct short paragraph in not less than 3 sentences using the correct verb tenses that is expressing the future action.

Evaluation

if you can answer more 8 questions, so you will get B+

and if you answer more 5 question correctly you will get B

and if you can answer less 5 questions, you will get C

the essay will help you to understanding the lesson and practice your skill in english.

the evaluation for this essay depend on using Verbs in sentence. if you can use the verbs exactly and correctly you can get high score.

Conclusion

There are three main categories of time: Present, Past and Future. The tenses of Verbs allows us to express time within these categories in a variety of ways. These actions could be done during the conversation, before or after another action and even continously doing the action. This enable us to understand when the action had happend in this time-bound world.

Without these tenses of the verbs, we would never understand each other like the way we do today. The time of an action is relevant for it has been part of our daily living. In simple conversations we use these different verbs thus it is a must that we too should be aware of the different tenses of the verb for better communication and understanding.
